Great essay @Bhavani.. since I have been on the other side (selling tech solutions earlier and marketing them now), I could relate to every word of it and you have captured an engineer's point of view very well..I have seen talented engineers becoming so obsessed with the technical details that they could have grown to the next stage only if they had looked at what they do from the end customer standpoint...you seem to have nailed it with your understanding.
